Job summary

CAMS - Texas is seeking a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Associate to support compliance obligations across fossil fuel and renewable energy generation sites within the NERC regional network.

A background in engineering, computer science, or related field with 3–10 years of experience is preferred. The role requires experience with NERC, FERC, WECC, and reporting to regulatory bodies, and includes travel around 25% to partner facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; 4+ years experience in industry.
• 3+ years in NERC compliance or related field.
• Knowledge of power plant operations, NERC/FERC/WECC regs, and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; experience with compliance tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Supports facility personnel with NERC, Regional Reliability Entities, and PUC issues impacting operations.
• Prepares, reviews, and submits routine and non-routine reports to EIA, NERC, FERC, and others.
• Monitors compliance programs and recommends new programs for integration.
• Maintains Facility Ratings and Protection System Maintenance Program.
• Conducts compliance reviews and implements changes to enhance compliance.
• Communicates with NERC and entities on behalf of facilities.
• Assists with training personnel on regulatory programs.
• Oversees contractor and vendor regulatory tasks and adherence to programs.
• Maintains project regulatory records and filing system.
