Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a NERC Compliance Engineer at Senior or Engineering Advisor level to support the renewable energy portfolio by ensuring engineering activities and assets align with NERC Reliability Standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, compliance and site teams to strengthen compliance programs, manage technical risk and maintain audit readiness across our growing fleet. Domestic and international travel up to 30% may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in related fields, or 7+ years at Engineering Advisor level
• Experience with NERC Reliability Standards (PRC, MOD, FAC, EOP)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and review technical studies, compliance evidence, documentation, and internal controls supporting NERC Reliability Standards
• Support compliance activities for PRC, MOD, FAC, EOP and other standards
• Evaluate new or revised requirements and determine necessary engineering, operational, or process changes
• Participate in audits, internal assessments, self-certifications, and corrective action activities
• Identify technical compliance risks and recommend improvements to engineering processes and controls
• Provide technical guidance in protection systems, relay testing, power system modeling, and substation equipment
