Job summary

CAMS seeks a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Associate to support compliance obligations across fossil fuel and renewable energy generation sites within the NERC network.

The candidate should have a engineering or CS background with 3–10 years of experience, be self-motivated and familiar with power generation/distribution and NERC standards. The role requires 25% travel, strong MS Word/Excel skills, and the ability to manage complex regulatory projects while coordinating with NERC and other entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or 4+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years in NERC compliance or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of NERC/FERC/WECC regulations and reporting.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with compliance tracking tools.
• Willingness to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Supports facility personnel with NERC, Regional Reliability Entities, and PUC issues affecting facility operations.
• Prepares, oversees, and submits routine and non-routine reports to EIA, NERC, FERC, and others.
• Monitors compliance programs and develops new programs for facility operations.
• Reviews and updates Facility Ratings and Protection System Maintenance Program.
• Performs compliance reviews and recommends changes to enhance regulatory compliance.
• Communicates with NERC and entities on behalf of facilities.
• Assists with training personnel on regulatory programs.
• Handles complex projects independently and oversees contractor tasks.
• Maintains regulatory records and filing systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
