Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens for newborns at hospital locations, with on-the-job training and certification through the American Academy of Audiology. You will work in a hospital setting, screen babies, and provide education to families about the importance of early intervention.

The role requires patient interaction, data collection, and adherence to hospital procedures, including PPE and annual compliance modules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Collect data and complete documentation for each screen.
• Upload results and ensure accurate state reporting by end of shift.
• Coordinate outpatient follow-up for refer babies as needed.
• Follow safety, PPE, and hospital protocols.
