Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, modifying plans of care as appropriate. The role serves as a clinical resource for staff and students and offers a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) – IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Treats patients with dignity and respect, remaining empathetic and engaged.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care with goals, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations using appropriate methods based on history.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 Clinical Process policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.
• Uses and supervises support personnel in accordance with legal/ethical guidelines.
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee replacement requirements.
