Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing (IDFPR).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Completion of required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with appropriate body mechanics.
• Treats patients with respect and empathy while maintaining engagement.
• Designs and adjusts plan of care aligning goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnosis and outcomes.
• Performs examinations using reliable, valid methods.
• Documents according to CTSCP67.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness of therapy.
• Supervises PTA and rehab technicians as needed.
