Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ongoing continuing education related to acute stroke care is required.

Responsibilities

  • Transfers with assistance as needed, using proper body mechanics.
  • Treats patients and communicates with dignity and respect while engaging with care needs.
  • Designs and adjusts care plans with goals, outcomes, and discharge planning.
  • Educates patients/families and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
  • Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
  • Documents in accordance with CTSCP67 and regulatory standards.
  • Screens patients to determine need for further therapy services and coordinates with the team.

Education

Bachelor's Degree
Physical Therapy
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
BLS within 30 days
Continuing education in acute stroke care
