Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is hiring for an NDT technician involved in nondestructive evaluation methods. The role requires independent work, following instructions, and hands-on activity with fixtures, tooling and data collection systems.

You will collaborate with engineers and scientists, plan milestones, operate hand tools and possibly obtain a forklift/license. U.S. citizenship is required for access under the program.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or 2-year post high school training with 1+ years of relevant technician experience.
• U.S. citizenship required for access under program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and scientists from inspection development through implementation in NDT methods.
• Generate custom fixtures and tooling to meet critical inspection needs.
• Plan daily activities to meet milestones with group scientists or engineers.
• Use hand tools (drills, strapping machine, pallet jack) and operate automated data collection systems.
• Possess interpersonal communication skills and work with a cohesive team of scientists, engineers and technicians.
