Job summary

Team Industrial Services is seeking an Apprentice Nondestructive Testing technician to assist the Technician or Sr Technician in performing inspections using various NDT methods to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions according to written criteria. The apprentice may calibrate instruments and perform other duties under supervision.

The role involves studying to gain NDT certifications while gaining hands-on experience on different NDT techniques and working on the shop or plant

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An understanding of basic math.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Travel requirement; 0-75%.
• Ability to handle chemicals in a safe manner.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Technician or Sr. Technician on NDT inspections.
• Studies to gain NDT certifications while assisting and learning hands on experience in various NDT methods.
• Performs any duties assigned by the Technician or SR Technician on the worksite.
