Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT is seeking an Onsite NDT Inspector to perform Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) on aircraft engine cases and related components. You will clean, inspect, document, and stamp work as part of a multi-functional team responsible for conformance to work instructions and repair scopes.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 1+ year of NDT experience and, ideally, an NDT Level 2 certification; SAP and MS Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic MS Office knowledge.
• NDT Level 2 certification preferred.
• Experience in various NDT methods and aviation component repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) and related methods on engine cases.
• Clean and process parts in FPI booth and inspect internal case structures.
• Prepare inspection documents and stamping to indicate acceptance of parts.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, operations and materials as needed.
• Review work instructions and blueprints; use inspection tools such as FPI booth and equipment.
• Assist Level III QE in developing test techniques and comply with DOT/FAA policies.
