Zusammenfassung

Machina Labs is seeking an NDT Inspector to perform in-house nondestructive testing for high-precision, flight-critical components. You will execute penetrant inspections, maintain process control records, and make accept or reject decisions per drawing requirements under NDT leadership.

The role is on production floor, hands-on, with responsibilities including system checks, documentation, nonconformance handling, and calibration tracking.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NAS 410 Level II in liquid penetrant testing (PT) or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on nondestructive testing experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
• Formal training hours and on-the-job hours supporting Level II qualification.
• Meets NAS 410 vision requirements: near-vision acuity, color/contrast differentiation.
• Knowledge of ASTM E1417 and AMS 2644.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, notes, weld symbols, and aerospace specs.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 (FAI requirements).
• Experience with MES/ERP systems for inspection documentation and traceability.
• Proficiency in English communication, basic math, and common software.
• Must meet ITAR requirements.

Aufgaben

• Own and execute penetrant inspection of production, first article, and reworked hardware.
• Record all required process control checks on penetrant line and verify system performance.
• Interpret indications and make accept/reject decisions per drawings.
• Maintain audit-ready inspection records in Manufacturing ExecutionSystem.
• Identify and resolve nonconformances, MRB participation and CAPA follow-through.
• Ensure equipment and measurement system integrity and calibration.
• Support qualification and approval of penetrant process, including NADCAP readiness.
• Act as SME in nondestructive testing and standardize best practices on shop floor.
• Mentor trainee personnel and reinforce inspection discipline.
