Job summary

S&ME is seeking an NDT/NDE Technician to inspect structural steel and perform non-destructive testing in field environments. You will work on projects that involve climbing structures up to 200+ feet while using fall protection to ensure integrity and safety of critical components.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associated degree, with certifications such as CWI/ASNT Level II and AMPP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry certifications: AWS CWI or working toward, AMPP Coating Inspector Level I or II, ASNT Level II in at least one method.
• Experience with UT and MT testing; familiarity with safety and fall protection protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test structural steel using NDT methods to ensure quality and safety.
• Perform UT and MT on welds and document findings in detailed reports.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment; manage field inventories and calibration records.
