Job summary

S&M (S&M) is seeking an NDT/NDE Technician to inspect structural steel in our Cincinnati, Ohio projects. You will perform UT and MT NDT on welds, climb structures up to 200+ feet with fall protection, and contribute to quality across multiple active sites.

Field testing is a core part of this role. Expect to engage in equipment calibration, report writing, and project testing assignments, with strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience OR an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry-related certifications are required (e.g., ASNT Level II in at least one method).
• Ability to work in field conditions, climb structures up to 200+ feet, and lift 40–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and non-destructive testing (UT for welds, MT for welds) to uphold quality standards.
• Manage multiple project testing assignments across sites.
• Maintain testing equipment and calibration records; participate in audits and quality systems.
• Prepare detailed reports communicating findings clearly.
