Job summary

S&M is seeking an NDT/NDE Technician to join the Metals team in Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on visual inspection and non-destructive testing of structural steel, including bolted and welded connections, at heights over 200 feet with fall protection.

Candidates should have NDT/NDE metals testing experience and relevant certifications. The position involves fieldwork, equipment maintenance, and report generation, with some weeks reaching 50+ hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry-related certifications: AWS CWI or working towards, AMPP Coating Inspector Level I/II, ASNT Level II in at least one method.
• Additional certifications (ICC Building/Structural inspections, UT Level II, PT Level II, MT Level II) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel and perform non-destructive testing (UT, MT).
• Juggle testing assignments across multiple projects.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment; manage field and lab inventories.
• Craft detailed reports communicating findings clearly.
