Job summary

S&ME, Inc. is seeking a dedicated NDT/NDE Technician for fieldwork in New Albany, Indiana. You will visually inspect structural steel, perform UT/ MT testing on welds, and operate at heights with fall protection. Expect 50+ hour weeks during peak periods and potential weekends.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years in NDT/NDE or an associated degree, with relevant certifications. ESOP, training, and advancement opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience OR an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry-related certifications are required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds and structures.
• Manage multiple project testing assignments across sites.
• Maintain, calibrate, and inventory testing equipment; participate in quality audits.
• Create detailed findings reports to communicate results.
