S&M is seeking an experienced NDT/NDE Technician to join our Metals team in Greensboro, NC. You’ll visually inspect structures and perform UT MT duties, working on field projects with fall protection. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reporting findings to project teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in NDT/NDE or an related degree and holds relevant certifications (CWI and ASNT Level II preferred). This is a full‑time position with strong growth and ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry-related certifications (CWI, ASNT Level II, ICC, AMPP optional).

Responsabilités

• Visually inspect structural steel and welded connections on field projects.
• Perform non-destructive testing (UT on welds, MT on welds) and other NDT duties.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment; manage field/lab inventories.
• Create detailed reports communicating findings and results.

Formation

High School Diploma/GED

NDT/NDE metals testing experience

Associate degree in related field

ASNT Level II certification in at least one method

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

ICC certification in Building/Structural Inspections

ASNT-SNT-TC-1A Level II in UT/PT/MT
