Job summary

S&ME is seeking an experienced NDT/NDE Technician to join our Metals team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The role involves visual and non-destructive testing of structural steel, including UT and MT, with fieldwork on tall structures.

A CWI certification is preferred, with additional AMPP/ICC certifications considered a plus. The position may require 50+ hour weeks during peak periods, and offers benefits typical of a well-established engineering firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry-related certifications (CWI, ASNT Level II, ICC/UT/PT/MT as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel and perform NDT methods (UT MT) to ensure quality.
• Manage multiple project testing assignments with safety and accuracy.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment; manage inventories and records.
• Prepare detailed test reports communicating findings.
