Job summary

Orion Marine Construction is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to support field operations at marine construction sites. You will operate cranes and hoisting equipment, assist in unloading and rigging, and work closely with foremen and crew to ensure safe, efficient project execution on barges and land-based sites.

Responsibilities include load-chart analysis, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• NCCCO crane operator certification and 2+ years of crane operation experience on land and barges.
• Knowledge of rigging basics including slings, chokers, spreader bars, and load blocks.
• Ability to read crane load charts and determine load/radius capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic cranes on marine construction sites and barges.
• Assist in unloading/assembling hoisting equipment for marine projects.
• Follow safety practices and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily safety inspections on crane equipment.
• Coordinate with foremen and crew to complete projects safely and efficiently.
