Job summary

Orion is seeking an NCCCO Certified Crane Operator to support our marine and heavy civil projects in Metairie, LA. This hands-on role requires proven crane operation skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work with diverse teams on waterfront construction sites.

You will perform crane setup, rigging, load handling, daily inspections, and routine maintenance while adhering to project schedules and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years crane operations on land or barges.
• Ability to read crane load charts and determine load/radius.
• Pass crane operations certification test.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and hoisting equipment for marine terminals and dock facilities.
• Assist in unloading and assembling crane components for marine construction activities.
• Perform daily safety inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Coordinate with Barge Foreman, Welders, and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule.
