Serco Inc. is seeking a Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy surface ships. You will provide technical, lifecycle, and advisory support across ship classes, coordinating with Navy and contractor stakeholders to sustain readiness.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent naval experience), and up to 10% travel. Proficiency with MS Office and Navy data systems is expected.

Competenze

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years naval shipboard engineering experience or HS diploma with 4+ years naval experience.
• Experience with Naval shipboard HM&E systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and naval data systems.

Mansioni

• Prepare machinery and propulsion directives; review gas turbine propulsion and related systems.
• Provide engineering, technical, and analytical support for HM&E systems on surface ships.
• Analyze equipment failures and maintenance actions; develop corrective actions.
• Perform lifecycle engineering assessments including sustainment and modernization.
• Review technical documentation and installation procedures for ship classes.
• Draft and coordinate Naval Advisory Messages and advisory communications.
