Job summary

Serco is seeking an HM&E Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet. You will provide technical oversight on lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and high-visibility CASREPs, coordinating with Navy and contractor stakeholders.

Requires active DoW Secret clearance and naval shipboard engineering experience, plus proficiency with NAVSEA tools and MS Office. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver readiness support, prepare advisory communications, and maintain

Qualifications

Active DoW Secret security clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years’ naval shipboard engineering experience or High School Diploma with 4 years’ naval shipboard experience.
Knowledge of U.S. Navy ship configuration, management principles, processes, and activities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient in eARRTS and HARs.

Responsibilities

Prepare machinery and propulsion systems directives; review installation/repair of gas turbine propulsion systems and related equipment.
Provide engineering, technical, and analytical support for HM&E systems.
Analyze equipment failures and maintenance actions; develop technical findings for action.
Perform lifecycle engineering assessments including sustainment and modernization considerations.
Review technical documentation and installation procedures; support advisory development.
