Serco Inc. seeks an HM&E Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet with lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and modernization initiatives. You will coordinate with Navy stakeholders and deliver technical analyses, reports, and advisory materials to improve fleet readiness and safety.

The role requires a DoW Secret clearance, engineering degree or equivalent naval experience, and strong proficiency with NAVSEA tools and Microsoft Office. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Formación

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required for role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with naval shipboard experience.
• Equivalent Naval experience can substitute for degree.
• Familiarity with U.S. Navy ship configurations and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare machinery and propulsion system directives; review gas turbine propulsion installations and related equipment.
• Provide engineering, technical, and analytical support for HM&E systems.
• Analyze failures and maintenance actions; propose corrective actions.
• Perform lifecycle engineering assessments including sustainment and modernization.
• Develop technical documentation and installation procedures.
• Draft and support Naval Advisory Messages per Navy policy.
• Utilize Navy comms systems to prepare and submit advisory communications.
• Maintain records in eARRTS and related systems.
• Apply NAVSEA electronic systems to support advisory development.
• Develop briefings and readiness dashboards using Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Extract and analyze operational data from Navy sources for decision making.
• Coordinate with Navy and contractor stakeholders on HM&E issues.
• Apply engineering judgment to decompose complex shipboard problems.
• Participate in working groups and contract-related analyses.
