Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, supports NUWC Division and MILSATCOM programs for naval platforms. The Systems Administrator (Mid-Level) will install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux components, manage AD/GP, and ensure information assurance across C4I systems worldwide. A DoD Secret clearance is required or transferable.

The role involves SOP documentation, patching, backups, and 10% travel, with a strong emphasis on security and interoperability across DoD networks.

Qualifications

• Interim Secret with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• IAT Level II baseline certification (Security+, A+, or Network+).
• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience or HS Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience administering Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects; VMware ESXi; MS SQL databases.
• Strong understanding of current Microsoft Windows operating systems; ability to document SOPs and design specs.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain system components (hardware/software; user accounts; backups; security controls).
• Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure operability.
• Develop and document SOPs for system administration.
• Maintain baseline system security per policies.
• Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems.
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and recovery procedures.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot systems/servers; apply patches and resolve issues.
• Provide O&M support for patch management, STIG implementation, and information assurance.
