Job summary

Serco Inc. in Newport, Rhode Island, seeks a Systems Administrator to support high‑profile Navy programs within the NUWC Division for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and related labs.

You will install, configure, secure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, manage Active Directory and Group Policy, perform backups, patch management, and data recovery, while adhering to DoD STIGs and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance and US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s with relevant experience.
• 2+ years Windows Active Directory administration and GPO management.
• 1+ year Oracle experience and familiarity with SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and update hardware and software.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, and security controls.
• Plan, execute data backups and recovery procedures.
• Apply patches and maintain system security per STIGs.
• Maintain system documentation and SOPs.
