Job summary

Serco is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the U.S. Navy NUWC division in Newport, Rhode Island. The role involves installing, configuring, and securing servers, managing accounts, backups, and recovery, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

Candidates should have DoD clearance and IAT Level 2 certification and be able to work on-site in Newport. You will contribute to a wide range of C4I systems worldwide, coordinate with teams, and maintain SOPs, system documentation, and

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• IAT Level 2 certification (Security+, A+, or Network+) required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience; an Associate’s degree with 3+ years deemed equivalent.
• 2 years of Windows Active Directory administration experience including GPO management; VMware ESXi; MS SQL and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and secure systems per SOPs.
• Manage user accounts and access controls.
• Plan and verify data redundancy and disaster recovery.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot servers and software.
• Apply patches and monitor system performance and security.
• Provide O&M support including patch management and STIGs.
