Job summary

Serco is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the AT/FP NESS program for the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA. You will install and integrate physical security systems, apply patches, and maintain system configurations in a lab and field deployment environment.

This role requires a DoD clearance, IAT Level II, and strong Windows/Linux knowledge, plus scripting and travel up to 10%. Join Serco to contribute to anti-terrorism and safety of service members while working with a global team on secure

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance required.
US citizenship required.
DoD IAT Level II compliant certification.
Diploma or degree plus experience as specified (HS diploma +8 years or Bachelor's +5 years).
Experience with VMware ESXi hypervisor and patching.
Knowledge of Windows/Unix/Linux security features.
Experience with servers, networking gear, and infrastructure.
Scripting to automate routine tasks.
Troubleshooting network and system security administration.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Execute and assess technical changes in a production environment.
Provide system administration support for Windows OS and Server.
Install new software releases and system upgrades.
Evaluate and install security patches and resolve software issues.
Perform system backups and recovery.
Maintain data files and monitor system configuration for integrity.
Maintain configuration baselines for the system.
Draft repeatable, step-by-step procedures.
Collaborate with worldwide teams interfacing with Security and Emergency operations centers.
