Job summary

Serco is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s Team Submarine program at the Washington Navy Yard in DC. This role requires obtaining a DoW Secret clearance and US citizenship.

You will implement Navy cyber security requirements, RMF processes, and coordinate with multiple government and contractor teams to secure submarines’ information systems. The position emphasizes collaboration with the ACIO, developing documentation, managing artifacts, and ensuring continuous

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a DoW Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Business IT systems.
• ComTIA Security+ is a plus.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with IT staff at multiple levels.
• Good communications skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• The ability to travel up to 10%.
• Two or more years of IA or C&A experience.
• Familiarity with Navy IT sites, systems, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing SOPs and policies regarding Navy Cyber Security Requirements.
• Interface with the Team Sub Activity CIOO to ensure compliance with Team Sub and NAVSEA Cyber Security requirements.
• Maintain familiarity with Cyber Security requirements and assist with applying them.
• Perform RMF activities to obtain Authorization to Operate (ATO) with/without conditions.
• Identify security controls, work with system owners to implement and test them, and prepare required artifacts.
• Coordinate and update records in the TEAM SUB cybersecurity portfolio for BMA, DIMA, EIEMA, and WMA systems.
• Validate cybersecurity posture across DON-specified information systems and provide status reports.
• Assist in investigating electronic spillages and draft reports to the ASM.
