Job summary

Amentum is hiring Aviation Electrician Technicians to support U.S. Navy maintenance at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA. Duties include repairs to electrical systems, engine components, and aircraft structures; reading maintenance manuals and performing inspections to ensure safe operations.

Candidates must complete Navy AE “A” School, pass security checks, and be capable of working outdoors in all weather. Willingness to detach and travel as required is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Navy Aviation Electrician Technician AE “A” School.
• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
• Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties.
• Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification system which includes a 7 year background check.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
• May supervise jacking and towing of aircraft, enters maintenance records, and verifies work performed satisfactorily.
• Performs duties in accordance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements per company policies.
