Amentum is hiring an Aircraft Mechanic I, Electrician in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA.

The role covers troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of aircraft structures, engines, and electrical systems, using hand and power tools, testing equipment, and adherence to manuals and safety standards. The candidate will perform routine inspections, read technical publications, and may supervise line maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum three years of actual F/A-18 aircraft maintenance experience.
• AE School completion is required.
• Knowledge of specialized maintenance tools is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly, daily, and other inspections and maintenance tasks on aircraft.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and tech data.
• Assist with jacking, towing, and line maintenance as needed.
