Job summary

Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals to support database development (SQL) and software integration for Naval projects in Dahlgren, Virginia. This on-site role requires active Secret clearance and a DNA of collaboration across our Software Center of Excellence.

You will contribute to Agile development across multiple contracts, applying C, C++, Java, and Python to real-world Navy systems while working with a Senior developer to meet tight schedules.

Qualifications

• 0–10 years of experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and engineers.
• Familiarity with Agile Development.

Responsibilities

• Database development using SQL in support of Naval projects.
• Apply programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python to development and integration tasks.
• Develop software within the SLBM weapon system.
• Support a Senior Amentum developer with Agile development practices.
• Perform analysis and problem-solving in professional engineering work.
• Work independently and with teams to meet schedule-driven goals.
