Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a systems engineer to support the U.S. Navy radar programs, focusing on requirements development, verification, and system integration across the lifecycle. The role involves modeling, testing, and collaboration with government engineers in a defense setting.

The position requires a BS/BA in a STEM field (ABET-accredited engineering preferred) and 4+ years of related experience, with travel to support testing and field activities as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience.
• Experience supporting systems engineering activities including requirements development, specification management, systems integration, and design verification.
• Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain system requirements, interface documentation, and engineering baselines while ensuring traceability throughout the program lifecycle.
• Experience supporting radar systems, sensor technologies, Navy combat systems, or other complex defense systems is preferred.
• Experience using engineering models and simulations to assess system performance, validate requirements, and support engineering decisions.
• Experience planning, coordinating, or executing system testing, analyzing performance data, and supporting laboratory or integration testing activities.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools, processes, and methodologies used to support system design and integration.
• Ability to work closely with government engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support system integration, technical reviews, and program execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute systems engineering plans.
• Create and maintain system requirements, specifications, and interface documentation.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and hardware/software allocation.
• Perform modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis.
• Participate in system integration, verification, and testing activities.
• Develop test plans and analyze system performance using MATLAB and laboratory tools.
