Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts for Navy training systems in Middletown, RI. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and technical teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining DoD standards.

The role requires a DoD-friendly background, 5+ years in project management including P&L, and familiarity with software development projects. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical or management field.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Experience with software development projects preferred.
• Familiarity with DoD/Defense program environments advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, schedules, and deliverables; prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items per DoD requirements and ensure quality objectives and schedules are met.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess issues and drive resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
