Job summary

Serco Inc. (Serco) is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, RI to lead PORTS program efforts supporting US Surface Navy training systems. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and project teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and adherence to DoD requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of management experience, DoD clearance eligibility, and a background in software development projects, with strong MS Office proficiency and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
