Job summary

Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals to support C/C++ development and integration for Naval projects in Dahlgren, Virginia. This on-site role requires a Secret clearance and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.

You will join a growing systems and software engineering team, working across multiple contracts within the Software Center of Excellence. Candidates should be able to interact with customers and engineering staff and thrive in a

Qualifications

0–10 years of experience
Familiarity with Agile Development
Excellent communication skills and customer interaction
Active Secret U.S. Government clearance (citizenship required)
Valid REAL ID driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to local sites

Responsibilities

Perform software development and integration using C/C++ in support of Naval projects.
Contribute to development within the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) weapon system.
Support a senior developer using Agile development principles.
Apply knowledge of C and C++ to software development activities.
Conduct analysis and problem solving in professional engineering work.
Collaborate within teams to meet schedule-driven goals.
