Amentum is seeking Software Engineers to join our on-site team in Dahlgren, VA, supporting cutting-edge Naval programs like SLBM. The role emphasizes SQL database development and proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Java.

Candidates should have 0–10 years of software or database experience, be able to obtain a DoD clearance, and possess a valid driver’s license for base access. You will work in a collaborative, Agile environment with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS, engineering, math, physics) or equivalent experience.
• 0–10 years software or database development experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive on/off base.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SQL solutions to support Naval projects.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (C, C++, Java, or Python).
• Support SDLC by assisting design, integration, implementation, and maintenance of software.
• Apply Agile development principles to meet changing project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver mission-critical software.
