Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals to support C/C++ software development for Naval projects in Dahlgren, VA. This on-site role is part of our Software Center of Excellence and involves collaborating with a broad engineering team to tackle Digital Engineering challenges.

Ideal candidates have up to 10 years of experience, a technical degree, knowledge of Agile development, and strong communication skills. A Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Experience with C/C++ and software development.
• Familiarity with Agile Development and strong communication.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform software development and integration using C/C++ for Naval projects.
• Contribute to SLBM weapon system software within an Agile framework.
• Support a Senior Amentum developer and collaborate across teams.
• Apply C/C++ knowledge to software development activities.
• Analyze problems and support professional engineering work.
• Work both independently and within established teams to meet timelines.
