Job summary
Amentum is seeking a Junior Developer focused on C or C++ to support software development and integration for Naval projects at Dahlgren, VA. You will join a growing Systems & Software Engineering team and contribute to multiple contracts within the Software Center of Excellence.
Ideal candidates have 0–5 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent, with strong C/C++ skills and familiarity with Agile development. On-site work at Dahlgren is required.
Qualifications
- 0–5 years of software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- C/C++ programming and familiarity with Agile development.
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within teams on schedule-driven goals.
Responsibilities
- Software development in C and/or C++.
- Support naval projects and software integration.
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to projects within an Agile framework.
- Maintain compliance with base access requirements.
