Job summary

STO Building Group seeks an on-site Project Engineer to support Project Managers and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications. This role requires relocation to project sites nationwide, with posted location possibly not reflecting the actual site.

You will review plans, assist in bidding, coordinate field activities, and maintain schedules while upholding safety standards and quality expectations across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 1+ year of experience with a commercial GC or internship preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements.
• Problem solving and adaptability.
• Scheduling software knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and shop drawings for compliance.
• Assess plan value and constructability; flag inconsistencies.
• Support project meetings and distribute minutes.
• Publish weekly progress reports and update schedules.
• Assist in bidding and scope development for trade contractors.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and enforce procedures.
• Coordinate field procedures and testing of concrete and reinforcing.
