Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in delivering projects that meet plan and specification requirements. The role emphasizes reviewing drawings, coordinating with the superintendent, and maintaining project logs to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

You will help prepare schedules, participate in bidding processes, and communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors while upholding safety standards and site quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (engineering drawings).
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers to ensure work meets plan and specifications.
• Review plans and shop drawings for value analysis and constructability.
• Coordinate with superintendent on project scheduling and milestones.
• Maintain logs for shop drawings, RFI, change requests and proposals.
• Attend meetings and distribute minutes; publish weekly progress reports.
• Assist in bidding and scope development for trade contractors.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and report unsafe activities.
