Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead the daily operation of project sites across the country. The role includes scheduling, procurement of materials, and coordination with the Project Manager to keep work on track.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in construction management or related field, 5+ years of large-scale experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel to multiple project sites. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience on large-scale ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands building codes and design requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the job site, including scheduling, production, and procurement.
• Supervise direct labor and manage contracted work to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedules and use look-ahead planning.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet project timelines.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and housekeeping are consistently applied.
