Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking a highly experienced and driven Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience managing on-site construction activities and coordinating subcontractors. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining project schedules. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to travel frequently between project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience managing ground-up and/or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain and enforce project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Monitor project budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
• Ensure full compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to plans/specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve issues proactively.
• Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on-site.
