Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a traveling Superintendent to oversee daily operations on busy commercial construction sites across the country. You will coordinate scheduling, procurement, and manpower, ensuring project milestones are met and safety standards are followed.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication with project teams, subs, and clients, and the ability to adapt plans to changing site conditions while controlling labor costs on multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale, ground-up commercial construction.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to project sites.
• Reads blueprints and understands codes and design requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication; basic Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan procedures and staffing based on project specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on look-ahead schedules and mobilization.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Inform all parties on construction issues and progress; coordinate with subs and clients.
• Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and manage labor costs across multiple sites.
