Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and advance our nationwide transmission line practice. You will unify regional teams into a single national group, guiding strategy, delivery excellence, and market growth across the United States.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with operations and project managers, and champion technical quality, workforce planning, and client outcomes in a dynamic, well-resourced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one US state is required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in transmission line engineering and leadership.
• Experience leading multiple teams/offices in distributed environments.
• Strong business judgment balancing people, delivery, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. transmission line practice as a single integrated national team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development oversight to managers and teams.
• Develop and execute strategic vision, growth plan, and operating objectives for the practice.
• Drive workforce planning, resource management, and client outcomes.
• Mentor staff and align investment, resources, and priorities across the country.
• Represent Stantec in client meetings, industry conferences, and professional organizations.
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development for transmission line staff.
