Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and advance our nationwide transmission line engineering and design practice. This senior role reports to the Power Delivery Operations Manager and focuses on strategy, resource alignment, and high‑visibility project delivery across the United States.

You will guide a distributed team, manage capabilities, and drive growth while maintaining technical quality and client satisfaction in a rapidly changing energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Lead engineering managers and distributed teams across the U.S.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. electric utility and transmission line market.
• Experience in business development, capture planning, and client engagement.
• Proven experience delivering transmission line engineering and design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. transmission line practice as a single national team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development oversight to managers and teams.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision, growth plan, and operating objectives.
• Drive workforce planning and resource management across the organization.
• Mentor team members and provide strategic and technical guidance.
• Communicate performance and priorities to leadership using KPIs.
• Balance workload with project delivery, client outcomes, and financials.
• Ensure projects comply with quality, safety, and technical standards.
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development across the U.S.
