Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a US Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and advance our nationwide transmission line practice.

You will align people, project delivery, and program support across the country, uniting offices around a shared vision for value to clients and the business. Reporting to the Power Delivery Operations Manager, you will shape the practice, drive growth, and ensure high-quality engineering and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, electrical, or related engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one US state.
• Minimum 15 years in transmission line engineering or engineering management.
• Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. transmission line practice as a single national team.
• Provide coaching and development oversight to managers and teams.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision, growth plan, and objectives.
• Drive utilization, workforce planning, and resource management across regions.
• Mentor team members and provide strategic guidance.
• Communicate performance and priorities to leadership using KPIs.
• Balance workload with Operations, Sector Leaders, and Project Managers.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and technical standards.
