Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks a Traffic Engineering Service Line Leader to drive growth and alignment across regional teams and markets.

You will translate strategy into action, mentor senior staff, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary offices to win major pursuits. The role requires a PE license, 15+ years in traffic engineering, and a proven ability to lead large, dispersed teams while delivering high-quality transportation projects for government and private clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 15+ years of traffic engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience with operations, strategic planning, marketing, and business development.
• Hybrid work experience and managing dispersed teams.
• Strong business acumen and cross-office leadership.
• Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic plan.
• Experience leading traffic engineering teams across multiple offices.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Established client and industry relationships for strategic pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, growth, and alignment of the traffic engineering service line across regions.
• Coordinate across offices to develop capabilities, pursue opportunities, and share best practices.
• Support regional managers and office leaders in business development and staffing.
• Develop partnerships for pursuits and contribute technical and strategic insights during proposals.
• Mentor senior leaders and build a high-performing, cross-disciplinary team.
• Drive delivery quality, profitability, and client satisfaction across projects.
