Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks an energetic Traffic Engineering Service Line Leader to grow our national practice. You will lead traffic professionals across offices, shape strategy, and coordinate with the Transportation Business Line to deliver innovative, multimodal traffic projects for public agencies and private clients.

Ideal candidates hold a PE, ABET‑accredited civil engineering degree, 15+ years in traffic engineering, and a track record in operations, marketing, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program.
• 15+ years of related traffic engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience with operations, strategic planning, marketing, and business development.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment and with dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote knowledge sharing and coordinate regional traffic teams across offices.
• Develop growth strategies and set annual priorities for the service line.
• Support pursuits with win strategies and cross-office team alignment.
• Position the firm as a leader in traffic engineering within markets served.
• Monitor KPIs and use data to inform profitability, staffing, and delivery.
• Lead collaborative worksharing and mentor traffic engineering leaders.
• Drive consistent project delivery and maintain quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovative solutions with technology leaders.
