Job summary

UES is seeking a Director of National Retail & Chain Growth to lead business development for major retail brands across the United States. The role focuses on expanding national accounts, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through cross-functional collaboration with operations and technical teams.

The candidate will build executive-level relationships, develop account growth plans, and travel regularly to client sites, industry events, and company offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive business development experience in A/E/C, environmental consulting, or infrastructure.
• Proven track record of securing contracts with public/private clients.
• Strong understanding of the sales cycle for professional services.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic BD efforts across key markets for national accounts in retail, restaurant, convenience, and grocery sectors.
• Build relationships with executives and leaders within national retail and chain organizations.
• Identify opportunities to expand services, geographic reach, and market share.
• Partner with operational and technical leaders to deliver a coordinated national client experience.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and conferences to uncover new business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends to shape growth strategies and inform decisions.
• Develop account growth strategies to drive revenue and strengthen national partnerships.
