Job summary

UES is seeking a Director, National Retail & Chain Growth to broaden relationships with leading national brands and expand UES’s national accounts footprint. You will drive growth across environmental engineering, geotechnical services, and related consulting, partnering with executives and program teams to deliver integrated client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive business development experience in A/E/C, environmental consulting, or infrastructure.
• Proven track record in securing contracts with public/private sector clients and utilities.
• Deep understanding of the sales cycle for professional services and proposal development.
• Strong business acumen to translate technical services into client solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with CRM platforms and BD reporting; ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic business development efforts across key markets while expanding environmental engineering, geotechnical, construction support, and infrastructure consulting.
• Build relationships with executives and stakeholders within national retail and chain organizations.
• Identify opportunities to expand services, geographic reach, and market share with existing and prospective accounts.
• Partner with operational, technical, and business leaders to deliver a coordinated experience for national clients.
• Represent UES at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to uncover new business.
• Monitor market trends to shape growth strategies and inform decisions.
• Develop account growth strategies to drive revenue and strengthen UES as a national partner.
