Job summary

UES is seeking a Director, National Retail & Chain Growth to expand strategic partnerships with national brands and grow UES's presence in retail, restaurant, grocery, and multi-location accounts.

This leadership role focuses on building client relationships, managing a national growth strategy, and guiding account teams across the country. Candidates should have 10+ years of BD experience and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive business development experience in the A/E/C, environmental consulting, or infrastructure industry.
• Proven track record of building client relationships and securing contracts with public agencies, private sector clients, or utility/infrastructure owners.
• Experience with CRM platforms and business development reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic business development efforts across key markets while expanding opportunities in environmental engineering, geotechnical services, construction support, and infrastructure consulting.
• Build relationships with executives, developers, construction leaders, and other key stakeholders within national retail and chain organizations.
• Identify opportunities to expand UES services, geographic reach, and market share across existing and prospective accounts.
• Partner with operational, technical, and business leaders to deliver a coordinated experience for national clients.
• Represent UES at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and industry activity to help shape growth strategies and support informed business decisions.
• Develop account growth strategies that drive revenue and strengthen UES's position as a trusted national partner.
